If you are a foreigner and unemployed and wish to get a job, you can contact Jobcenter Aalborg. It is important that you seek employment independently. What can the Jobcenter do?

The Jobcenter can guide you when applying for jobs, but it is important that you seek employment independently. A lot of jobs are filled without advertisement, which is why it is important to go see companies on your own. At the Jobcenter you can reeive:

• Guidance on vacant job positions
• Guidance on job applications
• Guidance on education
• Opportunities for interviews and re-training

How to declare yourself out of work

As a rule, all newly unemployed must contact Jobcenter Aalborg – Job and Business Centre. However, if you are a refugee, living in Denmark for less than 3 years and on integration, you must contact Jobcenter Aalborg – Integration.

Special conditions for insured unemployment

If you are an insured unemployed, in other words member of an unemployment insurance fund, you must declared yourself out of work at Jobcenter Aalborg – Job and Company Center. You can also do this online at jobnet.dk. If you declare yourself out of work at jobnet.dk, you must remember to print and save the receipt for your declaration. Furthermore, you must contact your unemployment insurance fund!

As an insured unemployed, the Jobcenter Aalborg – Job and Business Centre will handle potential questions regarding integration.

Do you have an integration contact?

If you have lived in Denmark for less than 3 years, received integration benefits and in possession of an integration contract, you must contact Jobcenter Aalborg – Integration.

If you do not have an integration contract

If you neither have an integration contract nor the right to unemployment benefits, you must contact Jobcenter Aalborg – Job and Company Center and declare yourself out of work.

Here the need for special efforts in order to return to the job market will be considered. If you need special efforts to get back into the job market, you will be referred to Jobcenter Aalborg – Integration.

Have you received social security before?

If you have received social security within the last three months, or if your social security has been ceased because of lack in attendance at re-training or interviews, you must contact the jobcenter you have been affiliated with. Here considerations will be made as to whether or not you are entitled to social security again.
