Childcare
The municipality district of Aalborg offers different types of childcare depending on the age of the child.
Children, age 0-2
Day Care
In day care units children are of the age 0 to 2. The children are accepted by age – meaning the oldest children are prioritized. Children can be in day care until the age of 3.

Children, age 3-5
Kindergarten
In kindergarten children are the age 3 to the start of preschool. Placement guarantee mean that the children normally start by the month they turn 3.
Children, age 3-5
Integrated institution
Here the rules for children at age 3-5 in nursery school apply, although it is easier to get a placement in an integrated institution if the child is already enrolled at the age 0-2.
